Veuve Clicquot celebrates Halloween with a show curated by FKA twigs

THE leading champagne brand Veuve Clicquot partnered with singer, songwriter and producer FKA twigs for its second instalment of The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series to celebrate Halloween a few days earlier. The event entitled Rooms sees twigs performing within 12 rooms, each dedicated to a single sign of the Zodiac and designed accordingly, from a jungle-like Gemini to a sterile office space of Virgo. The design invites guests on an immersive journey where FKA twigs is the guide.

The artist is following in the footsteps of fashion photographer Nick Knight who was the show’s curator in its first year, which was designed to celebrate the creative and cultural mastery. “There aren’t always opportunities to make your wildest creative ideas a reality, Roomsis one of my most ambitious projects to date so I’m very excited to be bringing it to life for the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series,” says twigs of the collaboration.

The partnership with FKA twigs makes more sense than it might seem at first as, just like Madame Clicquot, she is an innovator in her field. When Madame Clicquot was widowed, she decided to take over her deceased husband’s champagne company and revolutionised the industry forever when she invented the riddling table to make her wines crystal clear. This year also marks 150 years since the death of Madame Clicquot, who this event aims to honour.
