Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa review
Phang Nga, Thailand
A Getaway from Everything
After arriving at Phuket airport, in our taxi to the hotel, our driver told us repeatedly “it’s far, so faraway” on and on, he went. But when we reached our destination, we understood why. Aleenta Phuket is a hideaway for those wanting to get away from everything. It’s peaceful, tranquil and in the middle of nowhere.
This place is its own little paradise where one can do whatever one desires, or nothing at all. This philosophy comes back to the hotel’s own name, Aleenta, meaning “life well-lived”, “a gift of life” or “freedom to do as much as one wants or nothing at all”.
For those wanting to just simply relax, this place has an amazing infinity pool with a view of the hotel’s private beach and breath-taking scenery which should not be missed when the sun sets. Guests can also pay a visit to the Ayurah Spa, which offers a range of rejuvenating treatments and therapies, such as lymphatic drainage massage, also known as a detox massage.
For the guests wanting to do more, the daily programme offers activities such as beach yoga or football match; the hotel also provides guests with bicycles free of charge or can arrange a motorbike rental for those wanting to explore the Phang Nga Bay, which is about half an hour away. A popular destination among tourists, the bay offers adventures such as exploring the Koh Panyee village which is built entirely over water, where visitors can explore the local market, kayaking around and under the limestone cliffs and seeing the Khao Phing Kan, known as the James Bond island, which was a location in The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974. For a life well lived and a holiday well spent, we recommend a combination of both approaches.
